What is the Irish Heart Foundation?
The Irish Heart Foundation is the national charity fighting stroke and heart disease, funded up to 90 per cent by public and corporate donations.
 

• Their vision is a future where no hearts are broken by preventable heart disease and stroke.

• Their mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these lifechanging conditions.

What Does the Irish Heart Foundation Do?

The Irish Heart Foundation strives to defend, empower and care for hearts in Ireland in all the work they do by:

• Providing information on heart health to the public and media 

• Supporting patients in managing heart disease and stroke

• Providing heart health programmes in schools and workplaces

• Co-ordinating the training of medics and the public in emergency lifesaving skills (CPR)

• Supporting research, education and development in the medical profession

• Advocating and campaigning for better patient treatment and services
